GREEN SMOOTHIES

What’s the fuss about drinking our greens? How effective is it? How we can incorporate this into our lifestyle with ease…

Feeling the sugar/carbs/dairy coma? Remember to support your immune system over the festive season, whether your travelling, staying home, overeating, fasting, drinking alcohol or going sober this holidays ~ adding simple supplements to support your energy, recovery, sleep, hydration, skin & digestion is vital right now

Eating greens, such as leafy vegetables, is important for several reasons:

  1. Greens are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They are excellent sources of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as folate, iron, and calcium. These nutrients play crucial roles in maintaining overall health, supporting immune function, promoting healthy bones and teeth, and aiding in various physiological processes. Antioxidants help protect cells from damage caused by harmful free radicals, reducing the risk of chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, and age-related macular degeneration.

  2. Greens are typically high in dietary fibre, which is beneficial for digestion and gut health. Fibre adds bulk to the diet, helps prevent constipation, can contribute to a balanced blood sugar level, and often reduces the risk of certain chronic diseases like heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

  3. Certain greens, such as cucumbers, lettuce, and spinach, have high water content. Including these hydrating greens in your diet can contribute to maintaining proper hydration levels in the body.

A diet rich in greens promotes overall health and well-being. Regular consumption of these nutrient-dense foods supports optimal bodily functions, aids in maintaining a health and wellness, and reduces the risk of chronic diseases.

It's important to have a varied and balanced diet that includes a wide range of fruits and vegetables, including different types of greens, to ensure you obtain a diverse array of nutrients and maximise health benefits.
