CREATING LIFESTYLE BALANCE
MOVEMENTS & MOMENTS
Our Hacks for Scheduling the
Life You Want Right Now
Modern life is challenging.
Every day we are pulled in many different directions ~ With the demands of work, family, parenting, travel, health, wellness exercise, diet, appearance, finances, household tasks, social media, opinions, current news and maintaining a social life!
How can we create a life that we enjoy living, without feeling the overwhelm?
At Movement Halo we love creating systems and strategies for navigating every day, while allowing ourselves space to enjoy the important things in life. We feel the time is now to start sharing our hacks, tips, tricks and systems to help you start your journey to embodiment of all the necessary daily tasks in modern life ~ in an enjoyable, harmonious and productive way.
#1 SELF CARE
Self-care isn’t putting yourself above others. Rather, it is a vital element to providing for those around us. We suggest beginning with the first level of self-care. Your first, ‘surface’ level self-care might concentrate on sleep, exercise, or time alone. Or it might include socialising and window shopping.
Go to our free download Complimentary Lifestyle Hacks for the worksheet on Self Care. Here you can list your top priorities in the areas of: Nutrition, Movement, Cellular and Time. These are all important areas to begin identifying what you need and what you want for your future self.
Remember the future starts now!
Once you have identified the priorities ~ Begin actioning one thing for each category. Once you have created a stable routine then you can start adding more elements and in this way, slowly each day you are building more and more of what you need to stay balanced.
The process doesn’t need to be complicated or overwhelming. Keep it simple to begin, and you can easily add as you go along. Its better to create and maintain a small habit than to get stuck thinking you have to go big or go home….
NUTRITION ideas could include: adding more fruits and vegetables while reducing processed foods. The action then would be not buying as many processed foods and for every item normally purchased, replace with fresh food items. Or adding a vitamin / mineral uptake can be as simple as adding PhytoGreens or PhytoReds into your morning smoothie. Once you have created a weekly routine, then after 5-10 days add the next priority in this area.
MOVEMENT ideas are endless: Walking to work, university or school drop; Running for 10 mins everyday; a online workout twice a week; a yoga or pilates class once per week; an Aerial private session; a dance class. If movement is new to your lifestyle avoid joining a gym straight away, or committing to memberships at first. Start with achievable moments that fit with your commitments.
CELLULAR is my personal favourite. Your hairdressing visits on a 6/8/12 week pre-booked schedule, committing to a facial on a regular basis, getting a manicure, or simply buying products you love. This need not be costly - look out for sales and add products/vouchers to your gift wish lists while supporting local businesses. Cellular priorities can also be free and create self wealth - like sticking to a sleep schedule, or adding a restful bath soak to your weekend.
TIME is a deep well. We have time, we sometimes forget how to make the most of it. You might want to add meditation to your life. Sit for 10mins 3 times per week. Or perhaps you want more time with family - the same can apply - give them 10mins of UNDIVIDED attention (zero devices) 3 times per week. Watch how time expands and fills up the spaces.
Once you have created your ideal Self Care priorities and are actioning them then diving deep into self-care is the next stage of truly nurturing ourselves; initially we need to create the strategies for our first level of non-negotiables. As you progress with the fun things like vitamins, exercise and sleep ~ then the deeper elements will start to surface, including relationships, belief systems and conditioning ~ we will be offering a future resource to support the next stage of your Self Care journey.
